We will need donations of food for volunteer crew and volunteers for check-in and recovery area to monitor animals after surgery.

Regarding spaying and neutering:

Altered pets live longer lives. Spaying (sterilization of female
pets) removes possibility of uterine infection, which can be fatal, as well as ovarian or uterine cancer. Neutering (sterilization of male
pets) helps prevent certain infectious diseases, as well as enlargement of the prostate gland, an age-related problem which can make urination painful or difficult. Neutering also eliminates the possibility of testicular cancer.

Canine transmissible venereal tumor (CTVT), also called transmissible venereal tumor (TVT), Sticker tumor and infectious sarcoma is a tumor of the dog and other canids that mainly affects the external genitalia, and is transmitted from animal to animal during copulation.
Venereal disease in pets can be deadly. If animals are sterilized, they are not copulating.
