Independently of the Puerto Vallarta SPCA, the non-profit organization, PEACE, offers free spay and neuter clinics for dogs and cats in the greater Banderas Bay area.
At these PEACE clinics animals are also dewormed and treated for ticks and fleas. Sandwich bags of kibble are supplied for each cat and dog. Collars and leashes are also given to dog owners whenever we receive donations of the same. PEACE is also treats dogs for mange. Pregnancies of cats and dogs are terminated upon request. All animals must be in good health and be at least eight weeks old for spaying and neutering.
If you plan to bring in a cat or dog for the spay and neuter clinic, it should have no food or water after midnight the day before surgery.
